    Dr. Lane grew up in Plymouth and Sandwich, and graduated from Sandwich High School. He went on to undergraduate studies at the University of New Hampshire and then the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, majoring in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.  Dr. Lane then attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester.  Following this, he completed a three year residency program in Family Medicine at the Tufts University Family Practice Residency Program, where he served as Chief Resident.


     Dr. Lane serves on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine. He also precepts third and fourth year medical students in the office.  In 2004, Dr. Lane was awarded the Degree of Fellow by the American Academy of Family Physicians. This degree is awarded to those "who have distinguished themselves among their colleagues, as well as in their communities, by their service to family medicine, by their advancement of health care to the American people, and by their professional development through medical education and research."


     Dr. Lane is married and the father of three young children.  Aside from time with his family, Dr. Lane enjoys golf and woodworking.
